Kingdom Troubles Sprites
1-Up Mushrooms are green Mushrooms that give whoever eats one an Extra Life, and are usually the rarest to be found. Though rare, they can still be found in almost every game a Super Mushroom has appeared in. 1-Up Mushrooms are usually found in hidden blocks or in risky places for the player. They always grant the player a positive effect when acquired.

Buzzy Beetles (or simply Buzzy) are turtle-like creatures with hard, outer shells which are often blue. Buzzy Beetles will hide in their shells if jumped on, and, like a Koopa Shell, can be kicked to eliminate more enemies. The shell of the Buzzy Beetle is strong enough to resist fireballs, and as such, they cannot be defeated by fire. In a way, they're considered to be the polar opposite of the Spinys; enemies who are immune to jumps, but vulnerable to fireballs.
Although they are called Beetles, they more so resemble turtles like the Koopa Troopas than actual beetles.
Buzzy Beetle
Goombas are one of the major species of Mushroom World and are among Mario and Luigi's most persistent foes. Since their first game appearance in Super Mario Bros. they have appeared as a common foe. Goombas resemble small, brown mushrooms and are a fungus-based species like Toads, Amanitas, Spooks, and Shroobs. Goombas are physically weak and are not much of a threat to Mario, since a single stomp usually defeats them, although a number of different Goomba sub-species have emerged throughout the years. The Goombas, as a collective race, used to be allied with the Mushroom Kingdom. However, many of the Goombas have turned traitorous and joined the Koopa Troop, an organization led by Bowser.
However, not all Goombas are allied with Bowser or the Koopa Troop. Some Goombas, such as the inhabitants of Goomba Village, live peacefully inside the borders of the Mushroom Kingdom, while others simply hold no allegiance and operate independently.

Monty Moles (also known as Gophers in the cartoons) are surly moles that have appeared in several Mario games, including a few sidescrollers such as Super Mario World and New Super Mario Bros. Wii. They later reappeared in Super Mario 64, Paper Mario, and other recent titles. In these games, Monty Moles are generally cowards who throw rocks at Mario and will then burrow underground before Mario can attack them.
Monty Moles are major opponents in Super Mario Sunshine. They acted as bosses in the game. Only two of them appeared in the game, both of them manned a cannon, attacking Mario with Bullet Bills and Bob-ombs. As such, Monty Moles appear to be very technologically advanced.
Monty Moles have connections to Rocky Wrench of Super Mario Bros 3, Undergrunt of Super Mario Galaxy, and the Mole folk of Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. The Mole folk may be Monty Moles given a new personality by Square Enix.

Boos (originally known as "Boo" Diddley) are common ghost-enemies in the Mario series that first appear in Super Mario Bros. 3. They are a type of white spherical ghost with menacing and constantly open mouths. They are known for their large tongues and small "arms" of some sort. However, the most distinctive characteristic of the Boos is their shy personality where they cover their faces when someone looks them directly at the face but will uncover their faces once the subject turned around. Goombario's tattle for the Boo Igor in Paper Mario states: "He probably was a merchant before he became a Boo," implying that current Boos may have once been living beings. It is revealed in Super Mario Galaxy that they speak in Booish.

Cheep-Cheeps (Japanese プクプク Pukupuku) are fish that made their first appearance in Super Mario Bros. in the underwater levels. They are common recurring enemies throughout the Mario series. They are found mostly in the water but they can jump out of the water as well like in Mario Super Sluggers. There are many different species of Cheep-Cheeps. Cheep-Cheeps come in different colors, such as yellow and green. The most common ones, however, are red with a white patch on their stomach, a yellow tail fin, a mohawk-like dorsal fin and wing-like fins. They also have blue eyes and pink lips.

A Fire Flower is one of the many power-up items in the Mario series. They first appeared in the Nintendo Entertainment System game Super Mario Bros. This object can be found in a ? Block if Mario or Luigi is in his Super Mario or Super Luigi form. When obtained, the plumber can hurl out fireballs from their hands that can defeat many enemies during gameplay. This power-up later appeared in Super Mario Bros. 3, and Super Mario World among other appearances in other series, having the same function. The Ice Flower is the polar opposite of the Fire Flower.

Piranha Plants are large, carnivorous plants encountered throughout the Mario series; Piranha Plants are seemingly based-off Venus Flytraps, eating anything that approaches them.
The head of a Piranha Plant is most commonly either red or green with multiple other colors. Originally, Piranha Plants were found exclusively in pipes, either darting-out and biting anything near or remaining still and spitting fireballs. Currently, Piranha Plants can be found both in and out of pipes and their fire-breathing ability is now rarely used.

Koopa Troopas (usually Koopas, occasionally Troopas, Japanese ノコノコ Nokonoko) are common enemies in the Mario series, usually displayed as foot soldiers of the Koopa Troop, under the direct leadership of Bowser. Since Super Mario 64, however, many Koopas have appeared who do not work for Bowser (or any other villain), some of whom even act as allies to Mario during his adventures. Koopa Troopas are turtle-like creatures with shells that come in many different colors, with red and green Koopa Troopas being the most common. Koopas, along with Goombas, are some of Mario's most common foes

A Volcano Lotus is a plant that shoots out fireballs in Super Mario World and Super Princess Peach. They appear in many levels, spewing small fireballs into the air at a diagonal angle, which proceed to slowly rain down on the surrounding area after reaching their highest point. To defeat them, they must be hit by whirling Mario's cape next to them or eaten by a Yoshi. Spin jumping on them or stepping on them while riding a Yoshi will not harm them, but will make the player bounce off without taking damage. The Volcano Lotus might be related to a similar enemy found in Super Mario Bros. 3, the Lava Lotus, although the latter is only found underwater.
In Super Princess Peach, they are referred to as Volcano Plants. The game also introduces a sub-species, the Calm Volcano Plant.
A Volcano Lotus, referred to as a Fire Plant, appears in the episode "Send in the Clown" of the Super Mario World television series. It produces the fireballs that Mario, Luigi, Yoshi and Princess Toadstool use in a tennis game (in lieu of actual tennis balls).
They share the same Japanese name as Panser, meaning that they may be intended to be the same or a related species, although they look and act differently.
